This classroom lesson teaches visitors about the characteristics of the Prosecco Superiore production area, its climate, the conformation of the land, the mineral composition of the soil, the kinds of propagated vines you can find there (grafts and rootstocks), farming methods, a brief history of the local traditions handed down from generation to generation and the important varieties like the reds and the native varietals.

Sensory and organoleptic analysis (appearance, aroma and taste) of two or more estate-produced wines, observing the colour and clarity of the wine, the finesse and consistency of the bubbles, the aromas and the pleasant sensation on the palate. The wines are accompanied by local products.

Visit to the vineyards close to the company with a walking tour illustrating firsthand the information given in the classroom, showing the vines and allowing visitors to touch them:

  • A) in the autumn: the vine shoots, explaining the pruning technique used, the characteristics of the varieties and the farming methods.
  • B) in growing season: pruning, vegetative system, possible diseases or deficiencies.
  • C) at harvest time: analysis of the vegetative system, structure of the bunch, sensory analysis in the vineyard tasting the different grapes.
